Bachelor of Arts program students majoring in Chinese language participated in the Chinese Language and Arts and Culture Competition and the Chinese Speech Competition in the "Chinese Language Sparks Light" competition in Southern Thailand

On December 2, 2023, eight students from the Bachelor of Arts program majoring in Chinese language participated in the competition "Chinese Language Sparks Light" Southern Thailand 2023, organized by the Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University Hat Yai Campus. The students were Ms. Murani Weng, Ms. Nurhedayah Ata, Ms. Kasmee Romah, Ms. Yawani Che, Ms. Navaree Adae, Ms. Supawadee Sistang, Ms. Dareeya Ka, and Miss Aneesah Maming.

There were two types of competitions at the university level: the Chinese Speech Competition and the Chinese language and cultural arts talent competition. In the Chinese Speech Competition, there were 30 contestants from 10 Southern Higher Education Institutions. Ms. Yawani Che and 张贵丽, third-year students in the Bachelor of Arts program majoring in Chinese language, received the 2nd runner-up award in the  category.

In the Chinese language and cultural arts talent competition, there were 40 contestants from 10 Southern Higher Education Institutions. Miss Supawadee Sistang 拜义陈, a second-year student in the Bachelor of Arts program majoring in Chinese language, received an honorable mention award.
