History

According to the Teachers College Act B.E. 2518, it resulted that Yala Teachers College could accommodate the teaching and learning process at the bachelor's degree level. Especially, the social major could be taught in four areas: history, geography, sociology, and religion and philosophy. It was later changed to a department which was supervised by the head of the department. In 2004, the Rajabhat University Council agreed a resolution allowing Rajabhat University to administer various faculties. It is a curriculum for the full potential and greater participation of personnel and resources management. The social studies major was established in accordance with the Bachelor of Education program and has been teaching as the Bachelor of Education program in Social Studies (4-year program). For the updated program in 2019, it is a specific curriculum for students of the 4-year Bachelor of Education (Performance-Based) of 38 Rajabhat Universities nationwide which is adapted from the Bachelor of Education (5-year program) in Social Studies (revised 2016). The number of credits that a student has to complete throughout the program are not less than 142 credits, commencing in semester 1, academic year 2019.
